Being environmentally friendly has become a lot more important to businesses and families over the last decade. LED lighting is more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient than other lighting options.
Longer life span
LED lights can last between 30,000 to 50,000 hours, meaning they can last about twenty times longer than traditional lighting. Due to this, users will be throwing away less bulbs being thrown away and less required to be in production as LED bulbs will not need to be replaced as often.
Cost-effective
As the LED lights have such a long-life span, they will not need to be replaced as regularly meaning they are more cost effective in the long run, although the initial transition from traditional may cost some money.
Less energy wastage
LED lights can be up to 80% more efficient than other lighting options as they don’t waste as much energy on heat. LED lamp also require far less energy to light the same space compared to traditional lighting, for example a 5w LED bulb can light up a space that would have required a 50w bulb. Due to this, LED lighting can also help reduce CO2 emissions.

Fewer lights needed
LED lighting offers more focused and brighter lighting than traditional lighting, therefore they don’t require as many lights in rooms to provide the same amount of lighting.
Non-toxic elements
LED lights contain no toxic or hazardous elements. Fluorescent lights do feature mercury which is why they need to be treated differently. LED lights do not require any special treatment once they stop working. However, it is recommended that they are disposed of in a responsible way.
