A team at TLW The Lightworks is going the extra mile to complete 1,000 miles walking, cycling, running, kayaking and swimming from 2nd to 23rd September this year.

A charity that is very dear to our hearts, the Bluebell Wood helps to care for children and young adults with life shortening illnesses in their own homes and at the hospice.

In 2017/2018 the charity supported 302 families, offered 23,976 hours of respite care, provided 2,232 hours of short breaks, supported 1,014 counselling sessions and offered 1,082 hours of sibling support. Only 10% of the Bluebell Wood’s funding comes from the government, the rest comes from fundraising and support. The charity needs to raise £11,000 every day to keep their doors open.

The team taking on the challenge includes TLW’s Business Development Managers Marcel Ashmore and Daniel Hughes as well as Purchasing Co-Ordinator Bradley McEwan all hoping to cycle 300, 150 and 200 miles respectively for the charity. Our Managing Director, Jason Hughes is also taking part and aiming to cycle 50 miles over the 3 week period.
