LED tapes are fast gaining in popularity and are used to create a subtle ambiance in the home. We have already explained the uses of LED tape. Today we are going to explain the differences between IP rated and standard LED tape as well as the applications for both.

Standard LED tape

Standard tape is LED tape that does not have a silicone casing on it. It is IP20 rated which means it is protected against solid matter up to 12mm but has no protection against liquid.

IP-rated LED tape

What are the differences between IP rated and standard LED tape?

IP rated LED tapes are protected to a higher degree against solid matter and liquids. This type of tape is suitable for us in bathrooms or in any location where extra protection is required against liquids.
